This isn’t happening yet. But everything else is getting a reboot, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

The beloved '90s teen show Sabrina the Teenage Witch went off the air in 2003 after four seasons on ABC and three on The WB.

And it's time it came back. With a full-on reboot.

ABC

HEAR ME OUT.

HEAR ME OUT.

I, like many people, have experienced more than my share of reboot fatigue. But it's just gonna keep on happening — so it's time, friends, to embrace it. Nothing will ever die. Everything cycles back through eventually. Mortality has been invalidated. And Sabrina the Teenage Witch is a show that could both thrive off the memory of the original and chart a new path for itself.

Bob D'amico / ABC

Witches can harness the one power to rule them all. We can use this to our advantage in the coming years to gird ourselves from humanity.

Witches can harness the one power to rule them all. We can use this to our advantage in the coming years to gird ourselves from humanity.

Is there anything more heroic or 2k15 than the amazing power of women TURNING FRUIT INTO OTHER FRUIT?!?! If we are doomed to be mortal, may our brief time on Mother Gaia be blessed with perfectly ripe avocados year-round. Avocados that may be turned into pomegranates at a moment's notice. Give us this illusion of surplus.

Sabrina's not stressful. Sabrina can save us.

Clarissa Darling Vs. Sabrina Spellman: Who Comes Out On Top?

$
0
0

To celebrate Melissa Joan Hart’s birthday, we’ve pitted her two iconic roles against one another. Place your bets now on the ultimate victor.

Clarissa or Sabrina?

"I've loved all my characters," Melissa Joan Hart says. "They're all like children." That's a cop-out. While MJH can't pick a favorite, we don't have any special loyalty to either. Let's break Clarissa and Sabrina down into categories to determine which character comes out on top.

youtube.com

Identity

Identity

Clarissa Darling has a strong sense of self: from the first moments of Clarissa Explains It All, she's introduced as a smart and funky teenager. Sabrina, on the other hand, has a lot of growing to do — throughout Sabrina the Teenage Witch she transitions from awkward sorceress-in-training to mature adult witch. While Sabrina may emerge stronger, Clarissa gets extra credit for consistency.

Winner: Clarissa

Style

Style

It's not even a competition. Like her character, Sabrina's fashion sense evolved over the seasons. She looked good, sure, but it was never anything extraordinary. Meanwhile, Clarissa remains a style icon to young people who want to stand out, or anyone nostalgic for the '90s. You might not want to wear anything Clarissa wore, but you envied her ability to pull it off.

Winner: Clarissa

Special Powers

Special Powers

Another category where there's a clear victor. Clarissa's powers mostly consisted of making computer games appropriate to her problem of the week, and dressing really cool. (See above.) That's all well and good, but it's no match for actual magic, which Sabrina has plenty of. If it came down to a battle of spells, there's no doubt who would emerge victorious.

Winner: Sabrina

She was the star of two hit television shows before she was twenty. First you knew her as Clarissa on Clarissa Explains It All, then as Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. BuzzFeed caught up with the mother of three and asked her to get personal by sharing some selfies and answering some hard-hitting questions, like what she's searching for on Google and, most importantly, Clarissa or Sabrina. Here's what she had to say.
